OA Sport History
OA Sport is the Old Albanians Sports Association ("OASA"), a community-based sports charity that has been providing sports facilities in St Albans for nearly 100 years. OASA was established just after the First World War by the Old Albanian Club, the former pupils Association of St Albans School. OASA developed a Pavilion and playing fields at Beech Bottom for use by the OA sports clubs up to 2001 when they were sold for redevelopment.
Woollams opened in 2002 and whilst all the clubs retain a close association with the Old Albanian Club and St Albans School, they are now community clubs open to all and with membership drawn from all sections and age groups in St Albans and the surrounding district.
