The Caesars are ready to hail a new season in 2016/7 of free-flowing and forward marching rugby. Pre-season training focused on speed, awareness and skills under pressure – all key ammunition for fast-paced, space-invading battle plan. Having played most of my early playing career in France, I’m a big fan of the club’s overall philosophy of keeping the ball, tempo and width. This will serve us in good stead as we prepare to unleash hell in what promises to be a highly competitive HMMT Division 1.
Being a National League club requires strong foundations and real strength in depth. The core aim is to ensure that the Caesars provide a great arena for developing players (including a good transition into senior rugby for last year’s Colts) and a fluid link through to the 1st and 2nd team squads. On a personal note, I look forward to using my experience of coaching the senior squad at Blackheath to help make a difference.
